Workshop Presentation:

You are more powerful than you realize

Now, more than ever, we need tools to regulate our thoughts and our emotions, so we can create integrity = an integrated body, mind + spirit.

Ask yourself ‘what would be nourishing for me right now?’ How can I relax my body so it can feel safe? So my whole being can feel safe, amidst chaos?

Life is messy + complicated. Life is constant course correction.

We have evolved as human beings to look out for danger, for the saber-toothed tiger, in order to protect ourselves. Only now, the saber-toothed tiger is our boss, financial stress, loss, divorce, or any other trauma. In our culture, we are not supposed to run, fight, or hide from our boss. We’re supposed to ‘behave’. The hormones of stress that tell us to fight or flee have no where to go, no way to be released. Unless we have tools to regulate the emotions trapped in our bodies and come into alignment with our conscious and subconscious programs, we will continue to accumulate stress. In fact, we can become so habituated to the hormones of stress that we can’t see or feel them anymore. We can’t differentiate between truly being relaxed and our low (or high) grade stress. Over time, we condition our bodies to these sensations as being ‘normal’.

Change is possible. In order to change these old patterns, we need access to our subconscious programming. We need to become the observer of our lives and begin to step beyond the fear that paralyzes us and narrows our focus on the perceived danger.

To open to new possibilities, new ways of thinking and being. We need to open our hearts + be able to feel some contradictions – to get beyond the black and white. To feel the trauma we have experienced AND reach for a new thought, a new way of thinking, at the same time. We can feel our difficulties AND we can move into a new way of being, step by step. When we can hold space for ourselves in this way, we make room for expansion and change. This is what resiliency is all about. It is not about denying what happened, it means asking the question who do I want to be now?

In this presentation I invite you to open to new possibilities, to how powerful you really are. How can you use your breath and the space around you to find safety in uncertainty? How can you begin to tell a new story. How can you, like a tree, being to deepen and widen your roots so that you feel grounded no matter what?

Bio:

After being diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time, I realized I was missing something big. I was an active person, a healthy eater, a seemingly balanced individual, where was my weakness?

Two books changed my life. I first found Bruce Lipton’s Biology of Belief, and then Dispenza’s You are the Placebo and realized that while I wouldn’t eat junk food, I was consuming large quantities of ‘junk thoughts’. Dr Dispenza’s work made so much sense to me that I gifted myself 7 of his workshops over the next two years. I dove into the work intensely and became so inspired by my personal changes that a friend of mine who is a mental health nurse practitioner invited me to begin to teach meditation for some of the people she works with and share my newfound knowledge.

This is how Brave Souls Project began. Now I work teaching people how to move from fear into possibility.

Four years, and another six workshops later, along with studying with Lynne McTaggart and her Power of 8 Intention work, BSP has evolved into my own one on one work with people dealing with trauma; of a diagnosis, the trauma of a divorce, or any kind of loss. I believe It is all the same process of getting beyond the conditioned programmed self, to rewiring the brain and heart, and becoming conscious of how our thoughts create chemicals in the body, and how those chemicals ultimately create our life experiences. Now we know we can become conscious and begin programming our body for healing.
